Training Description:
This course is for someone who works at a site where cleanup operations take place and may be exposed to hazardous waste above permissible exposure limits. They are required to take training with a minimum of 40 hours. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge to recognize a hazardous situation and the ability to initiate the emergency response sequence. Topics include protection against hazardous chemicals, elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment and OSHA regulations. This 40-hour HAZWOPER training program reviews the OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard for OSHA CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(i) and Title 8 CCR, Section 5192. This course is also intended to meet any HAZWOPER training requirements for the EPA.
